Manatee District Announces Senior Administrative Hires and Principal Transfers for 2016-2017 School Year

BRADENTON -- The School District of Manatee County is announcing a series of senior administrative hires and principal transfers for the 2016-2017 school year. Each of the positions listed below must be approved by the School Board of Manatee County and once approved, the changes will become effective on July 1, 2016.

All of the positions are being filled by current district staff. Of the seven senior administrative positions being filled, three are newly created positions and four were vacated due to retirements. The principal transfers are being made to accommodate changes related to the district’s Long-Term Facilities plan and to strengthen the district for future success.

”The closure of Orange Ridge-Bullock resulted in an opportunity for us to make some strategic principal shifts,“ said Cynthia Saunders, Deputy Superintendent for Instruction. ”The goal of all of these position hires was to match the best person to the best position to help us move forward together as a school district.“
