BRADENTON – In a recent rankings list by global education news publication, Times Higher Education, the University of South Florida was ranked as seventh best U.S. public university and 34th best university in the world among universities in its age range.

The "Golden Age Universities" list, which compiled 201 global universities that were founded between 1945-1966, listed no other Florida university–nor any other southeastern U.S. university–than USF.

USF has also recently been featured in other top 50 list from publications such as the Academic Ranking of World Universities, Top American Research Universities, THE World University Rankings, and Washington Monthly.

"USF is very proud of this well-earned achievement. While we celebrate this latest accomplishment our top priority remains our commitment to our strategic goals of student success, research and innovation, and global engagement," said USF System President Judy Genshaft in a statement.
