SARASOTA – A preview of Katt Hefner's "Queens of Disco & Soul" will take place on Sunday, July 10 at Sarasota's The Glenridge Palmer Ranch Performing Art Center.
The event will feature Katt's musical portrayal of Donna Summer, known for mega disco hits such as "Hot Stuff," "I Feel Love," "Last Dance" and "Ring My Bell."
Guest vocalist Shantel Norman will also be performing in the preview, belting out songs from soul wonder Aretha Franklin, known for classics like "Respect," "Think" and "Natural Woman."
Katt's musical, "The Last Dance," will be performed on tour this summer and will feature music from both Franklin and Summer.
The show starts at 7 p.m. The Glenridge Palmer Ranch PAC is located at 7333 Scotland Road in Sarasota. Proceeds will go to Queens of the Keys Award Inc., a 501c3 program that helps to provide computerized music labs for middle and high schools.
