Posted

This just in; Bayshore High School has a new television studio.

The TV Broadcasting Program has been inactive at BHS for a number of years, due to insufficient resources. A luau luncheon will celebrate a 3-month renovation project on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Teacher Pamela Platt has earned grants for her program by certifying students in Adobe Premiere, a video editing software, to buy cameras and equipment; Carpentry students from Manatee Technical College helped build the studio; and gently used equipment and carpet was donated by Manatee and Southeast High Schools.

It’s a true team effort to put the Bruins back on the air! Bayshore High School is located at 5401 34th Street West, Bradenton. If you would like attend the event, contact Supervisor of Manatee Schools Television, Stefano Biancardi at biancars@manateeschools.net or 941-751-6550 ext. 2146.
