As we dive into 2024, the City is buzzing with excitement. With the perfect weather on our side, there’s no shortage of activities to enjoy. The weekend of February 17th marks the start of Pirates' spring training, celebrated with a lively Block Party on Old Main Street.

Expect autograph sessions, games, live music, and the official opening day on Sunday, February 25th. Meanwhile, the beloved Bradenton Area River Regatta promises a weekend full of family fun.

In other news, we’re thrilled to introduce “Freebee,” a free on-demand ride service available downtown on weekends and game days. Simply download the app and hop on for a convenient ride. Additionally, the success of the Gulf Islands Ferry has prompted us to expand its route. Now, in addition to the City of Anna Maria Pier, we’re delighted to include a stop at Bradenton Beach pier.

While our vibrant city attracts visitors from near and far, we understand that increased activity can lead to congestion on the roads. Let’s stay patient and prepared as we navigate through the bustling streets. After all, we pride ourselves on being the “Friendly City” – let’s keep that spirit alive!
