Barbara Ann Olear, 92, from Palmetto, Florida passed away peacefully under hospice care at Riviera Palms on February 15, 2023.

Born to the Late Joseph and Anna Mattis in Brownsville, PA. Barbara moved in 2018 to Florida with her family to be in the sunshine state.Barbara was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

Preceded by her husband Andrew Michael and her oldest daughter Valerie Ann Harris. She is survived by 2 daughters Barbara M. (Theodore) Piwowar (Ted was like a son) of Palmetto, FL and Andrea S. (James C. Valenti) Leonard (Jim was like a son) of Denver, NC. Barbara was a proud Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Survived by 3 Grandsons, Mitchell Harris of Denver, NC; Jason A (Patty) Piwowar of Seward, PA and Brad A. (Ashley) Piwowar of Wimauma, FL. Great-Granddaughter Emily Harris of Denver, NC; Great-Grandson Joel M. Piwowar of Wimauma, FL and Great-Granddaughter Lydia R Piwowar of Wimauma, FL. Also survived by cousin Joseph Backos (Joe was like a brother) of Texas. Barbara was the Matriarch and Homemaker to the whole family.

She will be missed.

A Memorial Mass and Christian burial will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 505 26th St. W., Palmetto, Florida 34221. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel, 5624 26th Street West Bradenton, FL 34207 in charge of arrangements.
