Carolyn L. Roberts, 79, of Bradenton, FL passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022, with her family by her side.

Born at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL, to the late Elmer and Elora Rajsky, she graduated from Gulf High School in New Port Richey, FL, and Livingston State College in Livingston, AL. She moved to Bradenton in 1984. During Carolyn’s long career as an educator, she taught almost every elementary school grade (except kindergarten). She was most proud of her time as a fifth-grade teacher at William H. Bashaw Elementary, where she taught from the school’s opening, in August 1985, through her retirement in 2010. Former students regularly approached her when they saw her out in public – to share how her memorable lessons, songs, and in-class activities made an impact on their lives (and introduce her to their own children). Outside the classroom, she enjoyed spending time with her family, "the Hula Girls," and beloved pets, going to the movies, and reading.

Carolyn will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Alison L. Roberts; her son, Millard "Jay" Roberts, III (Amy); granddaughters Thea and Nora; and her brother, Richard Rajsky (Maureen).

Family, friends and those whose lives Carolyn touched are invited to Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd St. W. Bradenton, FL 34209 on Saturday, November 19, 2022. The family will receive guests starting at 10 A.M.., followed by a Service at 11 A.M.

Condolences may be sent to the Brown & Sons 43rd Street location or posted to www.brownandsonsfuneral.com.
