Council Corner: Marianne Barnebey, Ward 2

BRADENTON – New Year’s Greetings to you! As many of you know, the upgrades at Lewis Park continue. Although the City has had challenges with supply chain issues, the project is close to being finished. Everyone’s patience has been appreciated.

This project certainly would have been a good deal more costly to us as citizens without the generous support from our local Rotary clubs. Recently, a meeting of district governors was held in our area that included several from around the world. These Rotarians visited Lewis Park and all included high praise for the creativity, design, and accessibility component of the equipment. It was a proud moment!

We certainly appreciate all our civic partners in Bradenton. Do you belong to a local group that could be interested in a city project? Please contact your council member to discuss it!
