Dwight R Nichols, 81, of Bradenton, Florida passed from this earth on March 11, 2023.
Dwight is survived by his long-life companion Gail Knott, son Tim Nichols (Andrea), grandsons Zack (Emily) and Ben, sisters Irma Tubbs and Corene Phillips (Jim), sister-in-law Hilda Nichols and a host of nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by a son Matthew, one brother Don Nichols, and parents Gordon and Carrie Nichols.
Dwight was born in Cullman, Alabama January 1, 1942. He moved to Florida in 1980, worked and retired from Loral American Beryllium as an aerospace machinist and also from the Florida State Department of Agriculture as a Federal Fruit/Vegetable inspector. Dwight was a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose with Past Governor and Fellowship degrees. He was an avid billiards player and participated on the local, state, and national levels.
Dwight was a great friend to many and had a huge heart to serve others in need.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Hanceville, Alabama. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel, 604 43rd Street West Bradenton, FL 34209 is in charge of the arrangements.
