Edwin Garner Willis (Buddy), of Bradenton, passed away on May 11, 2023, at the age of 89.
He was born in Gainesville, FL on May 05, 1934. A Navy Korean War Veteran. A General Contractor and a Construction Supervisor for many years in his community and retired in 2010. Had a love for the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, and photography. He loved spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by Wife Shirley Willis, his daughters and their spouses, Denise Hartwell (Delmer), Tracie Dill (John), his son and his spouse, Douglas Willis (Deborah), his grandchildren, Christina Martin (Dean), Blake Dill, and Kenn Stehling. He is predeceased by his father, JD Willis, his mother, Nellie Cadenhead, and his sisters, Faye Jolley, and Gloria Anderson.
A visitation for Edwin will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave East, Bradenton, FL 34203. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at 1221 53rd Ave East, Bradenton, FL 34203. A graveside service will occur Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave East, Bradenton, FL 34203.
The family asks that donations be made to the veteran organization Wounded Warriors.
