Leroy Vernon Cottrell, 80, of Myakka, passed away on March 3, 2023.
He was born on August 23, 1942, in Sarasota, Florida. He has resided in Myakka City for the past 30 years. He proudly served in United States Navy.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia Ann (Spears) Cotrell, his daughter Kimberly Hobbs, his son Kevin Grissom, two grandchildren, and one great-grandchild He was the eldest of seven siblings and was predeceased by Paul, John, Kenny, Roxanne, and Chris. He is survived by his children, Chauni Lee Cottrell, Vicki (Rick) Newville, and James Hobbs, brother, Tom (Lisa) Pierog of New York, ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
