New Indoor Outdoor Farmers Market Coming to South Manatee

Posted
BRADENTON – A 26,000 square foot farmer’s market is coming to Manatee County. It is scheduled to open August 18 with 117 vendor booths.

Oneco Farmers Market will be housed in the former Winn-Dixie location at State Road 70 and 15th Street. It continues a trend in which former chain-supermarket locations are converting to such facilities. Detwiler’s Farm Market has converted several vacant big-box spaces in Manatee and Sarasota county already.

The Oneco Farmers Market will feature indoor and outdoor booths by local restaurants, produce and dairy farmers, and various local artisans, as well as free drive-in movie nights on the first Saturday of every month. It will also include a cafe and a children’s play area.

Vendor spaces are already filled, with a waiting list in place. Vendors are required to have their booth staffed seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., the market’s operating hours.
