29th Annual Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival This Weekend

CORTEZ – The 29th annual Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival is this Weekend! The event will take place in Cortez Village all day Saturday and Sunday. To accommodate growing crowds, festival activities will be held on the east end of the village adjacent to the Florida Maritime Museum at Cortez. This is THE event of the year for real Floridians, a chance to celebrate a real Manatee landmark that preserves the spirit of old Florida like no place else.

There'll be two bandstands providing live music, one on the porch of Bratton’s Store and another along the waterfront. Artists and Food Vendors will be both on the Museum grounds and along the shore. There'll be demonstrations, food vendors, art, movies and children's activities. Stop by and support this local treasure and have a balst while doing it. Come hungry and enjoy the world's tastiest mullet, right where it's caught.
