Anna Maria Island Privateers Honored For 40 Years Of Community Service By County Commissioners

MANATEE--The Anna Maria Island Privateers were honored at Tuesday’s Board of Commissioners meeting in county chambers with a proclamation commemorating the organization’s forty years of community service.

Commissioner John Chappie read the proclamation which congratulated the Privateers for its commitment to giving back to Anna Maria Island and raising funds for youth programs.

The Anna Maria Island Privateers was established as a Not For Profit group in 1971 by a small group of individuals interested in being a support group for needed island youth programs.
