Annual Parrish Chili Cookoff Comes to Parrish on Saturday

Posted
The annual Parrish Chill Cookoff will cook off this weekend at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 5. The event will be preceded by the Parrish Heritage Day Parade; both will take place at the Florida Railroad Museum.

30 different teams will be present with their own chili for the contest for attendees to try. In addition, other family-friendly activities will be offered, such as a trampoline, pony rides, a rock climbing wall, mini-train rides, a kid's bungee and face painting.

All money raised from the cook-off, which is sponsored by the Parrish Civic Association, will go towards non-profit 501(c)3 group, The Parrish Foundation. The group gives grants to groups serving Parrish residents.

The Florida Railroad Museum is located at 12210 83rd Street East (US 301 North at Highway 62) in Parrish.
