Captain Arnold "Soupy" Davis of Bradenton FL passed away on September 4, 2024 at the age of 97. He was born in Parker, FL to Charles and Mary Davis on January 6, 1927.
He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Davis, his parents, one sister Irene Davis Harrelson, twin brothers Martin and Marvin Davis.
After graduating from high school in 1945 he was drafted into the army.
In his early years Soupy was a charter boat captain for the Anderson Fleet later becoming owner of the Best Bet.
One of his greatest joys in life was entertaining people with his musical talent. He sang, played the fiddle, mandolin and guitar.
Left to cherish his memory are numerous nieces, nephews and many close and dear friends that were a special part of his life.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, 12:00pm until 1:00pm, at Toale Brothers Funeral Home, Bradenton Chapel, 912 53rd Avenue West, Bradenton, FL 34207.
