Arts and Entertainment Art Center Sarasota Offering Summer Camps for Kids

SARASOTA — This August, Art Center Sarasota will host two summer camps for kids wanting to explore artistry further. The younger camp, Creative Kids, is for ages 6 to 10. The second (Emerging Artists) is for kids age 11 and up.

The sessions run each week from Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., until Friday, August 21. 

In a statement, Executive Director Lisa Berger said that ACS' goal "is to spark the imagination of young artists, allowing them to express their creativity through a variety of media."

Before- and after-care is offered at no extra charge. Fees are $210 a week for Art Center Sarasota members; $260 a week for non-members. A $15 sibling discount is offered. Fees include all supplies and a t-shirt. Camp sessions are at Art Center Sarasota, 707 N. Tamiami Trail, Sarasota.
