Arts and Entertainment Gifts Push Manatee Players Closer to Completion of New Performing Arts Center

MANATEE – Last week, the Manatee Players announced on March 20 a gift of $250,000 from the Kiwanis Club of Bradenton and over $1,500,000 of other financing in place thanks to the Manatee Community Foundation, which will enable construction on the new Manatee Performing Arts Center to shift into high gear. The new projected opening is March 2013.

The new Manatee Performing Arts Center will serve as a community meeting facility as well as rental areas for private events, conferences and other public events. The facility will include a main auditorium which will seat 380, as well as a studio theater which will seat approximately 100.

The fully equipped lobby will also be available for groups and can accommodate up to 300 people  Janene Witham was also introduced as the new Executive Director of the Manatee Players by Board President Anthony Pizzo, MD.
