BRADENTON — Tonight, the South Florida Museum's Bishop Planetarium will begin hosting a series of special events that feature live performances by local musical acts prior to showing films about some of the most important musicians of the 20th and 21st centuries.
This month's event will feature a performance by acoustic Southern rock duo John Denver's Ghost. Following the group's performance, the Planetarium will show Shine a Light, Martin Scorcese's 2008 documentary on the Rolling Stones' two-night concert at New York City's Beacon Theater.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m. The South Florida Museum is located at 201 10th Street West in downtown Bradenton. For more information about the event and subsequent events, visit southfloridamuseum.org/theplanetarium.
