ANNA MARIA ISLAND — The popular Oldies Beach Dance returns this Thursday at the Sandbar Pavilion on Anna Maria Island. The event raises funds for the Anna Maria Island Concert Chorus & Orchestra (AMICCO).
The dance will feature live music by the Gulf Drive Band including accomplished musicians, Bil Bowdish, Ted Young and Judy Lynn. They will be performing a danceable mix of oldies from the '50s, '60s and '70s, plus some favorite swing, jazz, country and popular music.
The audience will also be treated to the incredibly talented Koko Ray, who will appear as a special guest. Tickets are on a first-come basis and are available at the AMI Chamber, 5313 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach or by calling Nancy at 941-518-4431. Tickets are only $10 per person in advance (before noon March 12) and $15 at the door. The Sandbar will provide refreshments at an additional charge.
The Oldies Beach Dance is sponsored by the Sandbar Restaurant and the Anna Maria Island SUN. The pavilion is located at 100 Spring Avenue, Anna Maria, FL.
