BRADENTON – Local bands GoodbyEddie and Lawyers, Guns & Money will take to the stage Saturday August 4 at the Manatee Players Riverfront Theatre for a performance to benefit the construction of the new Manatee Performing Arts Center, currently under construction on Third Avenue West. The show will start at 7 p.m. and tickets are available for $25. There will be a cash bar available before and during the concert.

Manatee Players will relocate its operations out of the current 67-year-old building on old Main and into the new performing arts center once it is completed. The new building will feature classroom space offering a full spectrum of theatre, music, dance and play writing courses and camps for both young people and adults. While continuing to produce award-winning musicals, the company will also begin presenting non-musical contemporary, comedy, one-man shows and original works in a second, studio theater.

Space also will be available for use by community organizations and private companies to hold recitals, awards presentations, seminars, banquets and shows.  One of the most significant aspects of the new building is that it will be completely handicap-accessible. Manatee Players look forward to continuing to be a cultural and economic resource for downtown Bradenton, Manatee County and the entire west central Florida region.

Call the Manatee Players Box Office for tickets at 941-748-5875 or buy them online at www.manateeplayers.com. For sponsorships contact Tom Nader at 941-737-6880 or tom4639@verizon.net.
