BRADENTON – Old Main Street will be transformed into into an interactive art zone on Saturday, when 28 teams of artists compete in the annual ArtSlam festival. This family-friendly event features performances, take-home activities, engaging art installations, and more.
This free public event takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offers a broad host of activities for artists and art lovers of all ages. With plenty of interactive activities, it's the perfect way to stimulate young aspiring artists who will not only get to see great art being made, but participate in the process as well.
Past favorites like Create Your Own Comic Book, Cookie Art, the Community Mural and Chalk Art will be back, along with many new offerings. Click here to view the program, with a complete schedule and map.

Award-winning artist Cory Wright will create an original piece inspired by a photo she took of her niece during an art lesson.
