MANATEE--Peter Guber is the definition of a renaissance man in Hollywood. Films he personally produced or executive produced have earned over $3 billion worldwide and include the box office hits The Color Purple, Midnight Express, Batman and Flashdance. Guber's personal films have been honored with more than 50 Academy Award nominations, including winning Best Picture for Rain Man.
Currently he is Chairman and CEO of Mandalay Entertainment which produced one of this year’s Academy Award nominated films The Kids Are All Right. Peter Guber is a full professor at UCLA and is the owner and co-executive Chairman of the NBA’s Golden State Warriors.
As storytelling has been his life’s work, Peter Guber has written a book, Tell to Win, about the art of the pitch which has already become a number one best-seller. I spoke with Peter Guber about his new book and that interview is posted below.
