    I am hoping that last year's upset Republican primary was a true wakeup call to Manatee County. I've only moved here about 2 years ago, to join family already here; developers have been wreaking harm every place I see (along 64 particularly) and did so by purchasing their own members of the county commission.

    The havoc displayed is evidence of the havoc displayed in our larger state and country, Thanks, Judge Roberts, for saying that corporations are people, and thereby opening the floodgates of money to buy influence, power, and the imminent destruction of our democracy by cruel, venal and greedy people who would crucify Christ again.
