Blanche "Bea" Frame, 85, of Bradenton, Florida passed away on August 16, 2022.
Blanche Grace Draper was born in Nitro, WV, in 1937. She was an elementary school teacher in her hometown when she married Don Frame, then an ensign in the U.S. Navy. The two of them then traveled the world, following his assignments. They lived in Florida, California, Tennessee, Texas, Maryland, Virginia and Spain. They had one daughter along the way. In some places, she taught school or served as a substitute teacher. She briefly dabbled in real estate. She managed the childcare program on Fort Belvoir Army base in Virginia, but her true calling was to be a full-time grandmother to her one grandchild. Upon his birth, she retired and moved to Annapolis, Maryland to be near her family. In 2018, she moved to Bradenton to be near her daughter and son-in-law.
She was predeceased in death by her husband in 1986 and her older brothers, Charles in 2020 and Robert in 2022. She is survived by "darling daughter," RenŽ (Kevin) Powell of Bradenton, FL; beloved grandson, Brandon (Lauren) Powell of Virginia Beach, VA; sister-in-law, Marty Draper of Ft. Thomas, KY and many more wonderful family and friends across the country.
To honor her spirit, feed one of Mother Nature’s creatures: a bird, a deer, a fox, a squirrel, a raccoon - or a dog or a cat.
Services will be held at Quantico National Cemetery in Virginia. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
