BRADENTON – The Bradenton City Council on Wednesday approved a day care center with stipulations.
Ellen Powell, the agent and owner, had seen an opportunity with other centers closing and originally wanted a center with just infants, but has expanded it.
Work on the facility has started and the council approved the center 5-0 with stipulations.

SA.09.0017: Request of Manatee County, owner, J. Thomas O’Brien, agent, for a Special Use Amendment for demolition of existing building and construction of two story administrative building in G. T. Bray Park at 5502 33rd Avenue Drive West (zoned PDP).
Resolution 09-82 -- CSX 630347 Agreement, and Resolution 09-83 -- CSX 630348 Agreement
The Manatee County Letter prohibiting offshore oil and gas drilling passed on a 4-1 vote, with Councilman Gene Gallo dissenting, and the conceptual building rendering of Riversong at Promenade at Riverwalk passed on a 5-0 vote with stipulations.
