Bradenton Marauders Slam St. Lucie Mets 13-1

Posted
RHP Brian Leach

ST. LUCIE – After losing a string of heartbreakingly close games, the Marauders offense decided it would build some cushion, scoring 13 runs against the Mets. It turned out they didn’t need it. Brian Leach (3-4) was masterful on the mound. He didn’t walk a single batter, going a full seven-innings, allowing only four hits and no runs.

Newcomer Ramon Aguero was a little shaky, giving up a run on three hits, before getting out of the 8th, and Noah Krol closed out the ninth, scoreless on one hit, as the Marauders came away with the 13-1 victory. It was the best pitching Bradenton’s shown since May and a positive sign, heading toward the second half. Calvin Anderson hit his 6th home run. The series winds down tonight at St. Lucie.
