BRADENTON BEACH -- Bradenton Beach Mayor, Michael Pierce resigned last night.
Commissioner Bob Bartelt was appointed as Mayor and Janie Robertson was voted vice-Mayor, in lieu of Pierce’s resignation.
A replacement for Long Boat Key Commissioner Gene Jaleski, who resigned last week, will be named on Monday.
A recall has been initiated by citizens of Anna Maria Island for Commissioner Harry Stoltzfus.
