Brenda Hunt–Alcorn, 75, of Bradenton,passed away on August 19, 2022.
Brenda was a native Floridian born in Bradenton, FL to Lee and Francis Hunt on May 16, 1947. She served the community for over 30 years teaching in the Manatee High School English Department and working with MHS Cheerleaders. Brenda always said that she was grateful for the opportunity to teach multiple generations of Canes. After retiring, she was an artisan and enjoyed being a jewelry-maker, painter and photographer.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Linda Hunt-Force and her husband, Jerry P. Alcorn. She is survived by her son, Todd L. (Tina) Hunt, daughter, Lynne (Tim) Alcorn-Oldham, grandsons, Logan, Brandon and Caleb; niece, Leanne (Dan) Force-Macleod; nephew, Bill (Renae) and several great nieces and a great nephew.
At Brenda’s request, she will be cremated and a Memorial Service will be planned at a later time. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel, 5624 26th Street West Bradenton, FL 34207 is in charge of the arrangements.
