“We’re very excited to be starting our flights in Omaha, and right on the heels of announcing a new route to Oakland last week,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant Travel Company senior vice president of planning. “This service will now provide people an affordable opportunity to vacation in the Tampa Bay area and the convenience of traveling nonstop.”
The new service operates twice weekly between Eppley Airfield (OMA) and St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport (PIE). Flight days, times and the lowest fares can be found only at Allegiant.com.
“Local travelers have been asking for more service to Florida,” said Chris Martin, director of airline affairs and airport operations with the Omaha Airport Authority. “Today’s launch of Allegiant’s new nonstop service to St. Petersburg makes it even easier for families to access some the best beaches and tourist attractions in Florida.”
Already in 2015, Allegiant has added Hagerstown, MD and Richmond, VA to its locations serviced by PIE.
