Business and Financial Bradenton Ranked 5th Best Retirement Destination is U.S.

BRADENTON — A new study from SmartAsset ranked the 10 best places to retire in the United States. Florida dominated the list, with 9 of the 10 cities ranked located in the Sunshine State. Bradenton came in at number 5, while Sarasota ranked 10.

The study considered four main factors: taxes (both income and sales tax); the number of doctors’ offices; and opportunity for recreation and a social life.

Other Florida cities on the list included Stuart, FL, which came in at number one, while Inverness, Naples and Brooksville rounded out the top 5.

Seaford, a small town in central Delaware that had the lowest average tax burden for retirees in the top 10, was the lone non-Florida city to make the list. Click here to view the complete study.
