Chips Shore Announces Intent to Seek Re-election in 2012

MANATEE COUNTY – R.B. ”Chips“ Shore announced earlier this week that he will seek another term as Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller. Shore, who has served in the role since 1977, has won praise for his effective use of new technology, especially to control costs.

Shore, who holds a B.S. from Stetson University in Economics and Finance and was the state's Clerk of the Year for '01/02, has also won acclaim for his management of county assets, including the $700 million plus investment portfolio, earning envious returns while fully protecting the principal in tough markets.
