Clayburn "Clay" Fredrick Alligood, 47, passed away on August 11, 2024. He was born on September 7, 1976, in Bradenton, Florida, to Clayton O. Alligood and Peggy (Jeffries) Alligood.
He enjoyed playing baseball as child. His dogs were his pride and joy. He loved to make people laugh, he would joke about being the black sheep of the family.
Clay is survived by his mother, Peggy Alligood of Palmetto, FL; his brother, Brian (Julie) of Palmetto, FL; niece, Becca Alligood of Wimauma, FL; nephew, Dalton Alligood of Palmetto, FL; great niece, Adelynn Alligood of Wimauma, FL; uncle, Michael (Trish) of Palmetto, FL; aunt, Lois, of Palmetto, FL, and numerous cousins. He is also survived by his best friend, Chris Gedroye of Rogersville, TN; best buddy, Sissy; his best friend and guard dog, Shea. Clay is also survived by many friends throughout his life.
He is predeceased by his daddy, Clayton (Rusty) Alligood; his sister, Brandie Alligood; both sets of grandparents; seven aunts and three uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held for the family beginning at 10:45 to 11:15 AM and then friends from 11:15 AM to 12:00 Noon, Saturday, September 7, 2024, at Skyway Community Chapel, 512 Palm View Road, Palmetto, FL, with a luncheon to follow.
