PALMETTO — On the first two days of August, a special homeless pet adoption event will be held at the Bradenton Area Convention Center.
More than 100 cats and dogs (both young and old) will be available for adoption at Pet Adopt-a-Palooza. All have been spayed or neutered, microchipped, and have had up-to-date vaccinations.
In addition to adoptable pets, Pet Adopt-a-Palooza will also have the Manatee Sheriff's Office and K9 Search and Rescue in attendance to do presentations, training and doggie yoga demonstrations, grooming tips, available vaccinations and microchipping for those bringing their pets to the event, pet food donation boxes, purchasable license tags, and pet food and beverages.
Both days are free to attend. The Bradenton Area Convention Center is located at 1 Haben Boulevard in Palmetto. For more information about the event, contact Bill Hutchison, Animal Services: (941) 745-3793 and bill.hutchison@mymanatee.org.
