Community Manatee County Accepting Applications for Vacancies on Children

Manatee County is taking applications for five upcoming vacancies on the Children’s Services Advisory Board (CSAB). The all-volunteer board makes recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners about priorities and expenditures of the County’s dedicated millage for children’s services.

The 13-member board meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 3 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Manatee County Administrative Center, 1112 Manatee Ave. W., Bradenton. Weekly meetings are held during the annual program funding review process from March through May. 

The vacant seats are for three year terms that begin Oct. 1. The open seats on the Children’s Services Advisory Board are for:

  • two child advocates who are not affiliated with any agency receiving county funds; 

  • one licensed mental health professional; 

  • one representative of the Department of Children and Families; and 

  • one representative of United Way of Manatee County.
