Anytime Fitness Parrish to Host Open House for MOTS

On Saturday, July 21st from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM Anytime Fitness Parrish will be hosting an Open House to benefit Manasota Operation Troop Support; otherwise known as MOTS.  MOTS is a local Bradenton organization that supports our troops currently deployed to the Middle East and their families before and after the troops come home. One of the things they do is send wellness packages to our troops filled with necessities they otherwise might not get.

At the Open House we will feature one of our local DJ’s who will provide music and we will be raffling off some amazing prizes from local businesses.  There will also be a rummage sale and food sale.  100% of ALL PROCEEDS from the raffles and sales will go to the MOTS organization to assist them with purchases for the boxes and the insurmountable postage costs for mailing them to the Middle East.

In preparation for the event, we are asking you to look around your house and see if you have an item or two you could donate for the sale.  If so, just drop it by the club and we will take care of it for you.  We will also have a MOTS donation box set up in the gym July 9th through the 21st for donations for the troops care packages.  You can obtain a list of all needed items from the office staff, but some things that are often requested are Clif Bars, Slim Jims, Beef jerky Lemonade, Iced tea powder mixes (singles), Nuts, pop top canned pasta i.e. ravioli, dental floss, tooth brushes, toothpaste, dental picks (metal for cleaning their weapons) AAA batteries, wipes and black socks.
