BRADENTON – The Manatee County Youth Commission will host a workshop entitled; The Power of Conversation: Let's Talk, Thursday evening at Pirate City, the Pittsburgh Pirates local training and administration facility. There will be a no-cost dinner for participants at 6:30 p.m. (register by Wednesday to reserve meal).
The goal of the program is to educate and inspire both teens and adults. The Manatee County Youth Commission will lead small group discussions on a variety of important and sensitive topics facing today's teens. All teens who bring an adult will receive a free prize.
Chris Martini will be the special guest speaker and there will be a performance by Youth for Christ RAP. 1701 27th Street East in Bradenton. The free event is co-sponsored by the Manatee County Substance Abuse Coalition, the Healthy Teens Coalition of Manatee County and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
