Community South Manatee Library to Host Special Comedy Performance Tuesday Featuring Red Rose Parlour Theatre Actors

Posted

BRADENTON – The South Manatee Branch Library will hold a special performance tomorrow evening of the veritable Broadway performance comedy, The Maids.

The story spotlights two maids (played by the Red Rose Parlour Theatre's Caroline Cox and Seva Anthony) who, after realizing that a star performer will not be present for his scheduled performance in a play, decide to improvise with their own show.

The ensuing hijinks result in a medley of famous Broadway songs, including numbers by Irvin Berlin, Gilbert and Sullivan and Andrew Lloyd Webber, as well as Shakespeare drama. In the process, the two professional cleaning ladies discover their inner starlets.

Attending to watch the performance is free; seating is available on a first come, first serve basis.

The program is free and everyone is welcome to attend. Seating is available on a first come, first serve basis. The library is located at 6081 26th Street West in Bradenton, just south of State College of Florida. For more information, call 941-755-3892.
