BRADENTON – Manatee County Habitat for Humanity has received a $30,000 grant from Publix Super Market Charities that will assist in the construction of an additional award winning Habitat home in the Ellenton Hope Landing community. Habitat homes have recently received recognition on the national, state and local level in the area of affordable and sustainable home building.
Publix has partnered with Manatee Habitat since 2011 to build several homes in the Hope Landing community. “We are grateful for the commitment from Publix SuperMarket Charities to help working families in Manatee County” says Habitat Board Chair, Dick Amesbury. “It is a company that takes seriously their commitment to the well-being of our residents and our community.” The Hope Landing community is scheduled to be completed by June 2015.
