Community Spotlight: Loveland Center Seeks New Board Members

VENICE – The Loveland Center (LovelandCenter.org), a nonprofit that provides educational, vocational and residential services for individuals with developmental disabilities, is currently recruiting new board members.

Currently, the Loveland Center has a 12-member board. Ann Graybeal, Matt Rheingans and Sydney Young will be rolling off the nonprofit’s board of directors in September 2016. All the current officers, including Debbie LaPinska, chair; Cathleen Kenney, vice chair; Robert Lewandowski, treasurer; and James Ball, past chair, will keep their positions.

”The Loveland Center is truly grateful to Ann, Matt and Sydney for their commitment and service to Loveland Center’s mission,“ said Daniela Koci, president of the Loveland Center. ”Our staff, students and residents have greatly benefited from the time and talents they brought to us these past six years as board members.“

The Loveland Center’s board of directors is responsible for supporting Loveland Center’s mission, vision, goals, policies and programs as well as being an advocate for the nonprofit throughout the community, exercising fiduciary oversight and actively participating in the long-range and strategic planning.
