Arlene B. McDonald of Ellenton, Florida died February 26, 2015, surrounded by her loving family at age 84.

She was born February 3, 1931 in Keene, N.Y. Arlene had a successful career as a registered nurse, was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great‐grandmother. She enjoyed the outdoors and all of its natural beauty, playing cards and swimming at Colony Cove. Family get‐togethers provided her great joy.

She is survived by her children, Fred McDonald, Jr., Stephanie Peterson and Lynn Meier, eight grandchildren, and seven great‐grandchildren. She was pre‐deceased by her husband, Frederick Duncan McDonald.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Ellenton Hall in Colony Cove at 3pm on Sunday, March 1 2015. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 43rd Street Chapel in charge. Chase Edward Bowman, loving son and grandson, born in Sarasota on September 16, 1987, died on February 24, 2015.

Predeceased by grandparents, Edward and Mary McCaffrey; he is survived by his mother, Shonia Bowman Gillespie and father, Edward McCaffrey; sister, Creek Gillespie; brother R.T. Gillespie; maternal grandparents, Geronia & Christine Bowman; uncle, Theron (Nancy) Bowman; aunt, Nuwonia Alves; cousins, Mary & Christopher Blue, Zoey Blue, Chrissy Bowman, Theron Bowman, Jr., Samantha Bowman and very special friend, Howard Dunnigan. Also survived by aunts and uncles, Thomas (Deborah) Perry, Mitchell (Joyce) McCaffrey, cousins, Jill Bass, Nathan Bass, Jeffrey Perry, Mitchell & Kate McCaffrey, Austin McCaffrey, Natalie & Russell Vanselow and his dog Gizmo.

There will be a Memorial Service at Faith Baptist Church, 8751 Fruitville Rd., Sarasota, FL 34240 on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 11 AM. Chase was a loving and much loved beautiful person. Alfred Vincent ''Deacon Al'' Gaspari, 75, Bradenton, died February 21, 2015.

Born in Newton, MA he moved to Bradenton in 2001 from Rolling Meadows, IL. He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corps and he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survived by wife of 55 years, Mary Jo of Bradenton, FL; daughter, Marianne (Randy) Broms of Arlington Heights, IL; son, Michael J. (Deborah) of Darien, IL; son, Anthony J. (Carla) of Palatine, IL; son, John A. (Elizabeth) of Lincolnwood, IL; son, Joseph F. (Karla) of Roselle, IL; 13 grandchildren, Scott J. (Lindsay) Gaspari, Nicholas J. Gaspari, Michael J. Gaspari, Christopher W. Broms, Holly B. Gaspari, Mark A. Broms, Katie L. Gaspari, Kendall R. Gaspari, Keegan A. Gaspari, Samantha M. Gaspari, Maribeth Broms, Sydney M. Gaspari, Stephanie M. Gaspari; 1 great granddaughter, Elizabeth C. Gaspari; 2 brothers, Santo J. (Frances) Gaspari, Carl (Debbie) Gaspari; sister, Catherine G (Sylvio) Boucher; many nieces and nephews.

Betty (Sellers) Hager, 91, Bradenton, was born Feb 20 1924 and died Feb 20 2015 at age 91 in Westminster Manor Bradenton.

Betty was born in Sebree, KY, moved to Dayton, OH in 1942 and married Marlen J. Hager, Sr. Together they moved around the country as Marlen trained as a pilot in the Army Air Corps. Upon his discharge in 1947, they moved back to Sebree KY and in 1952, they moved the family to Bradenton.

Betty was a loving mother and homemaker. Her favorite pastime was playing bridge with her friends.

Betty is predeceased by her parents, Ray and Golda (Forte) Sellers; her husband, of 59 years Marlen J. Hager, Sr.; her sister, Lucille (Sellers) Horrell; her niece, Mary Ann Horrell.

She is survived by her three sons, Rick (DiDi) Hager, Jim (Karla) Hager, Dan (Tammy) Hager all of Bradenton; two daughters, Cathy (Keith) Booth of Whittier NC and Tammy (David) Quaderer of North Port FL; one nephew, Pat (Kay) Horrell of Bradenton. She has 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Visitation 2:30PM Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 3200 Manatee Ave West, Bradenton, FL 34205. Services will follow the Visitation at 4:00PM. John Lawrence Meiklejohn ''Mick'', 81, Bradenton, died February 20, 2015.

Born in Springfield, IL, John moved to Bradenton in 1999 from Williamsburg, VA. A Veteran of the US Army, he was a Salesman and Financial Rep for Allis Chalmers & Caterpillar, later owned Mid States Machinery of Milwaukee, WI. He was an avid fisherman and he attended Parrish United Methodist Church.

Predeceased by his parents, Lawrence & Minnie Louise (Parrish) Meiklejohn; survived by wife, Kathie Ann of Parrish, FL; sons, Jeffrey Grant Meiklejohn of Milwaukee, WI and John L. (Frances) Meiklejohn, II of Charlottesville, VA; daughters, Jill Rene' (Mike) Waller of Phoenix, AZ and Kendra Leigh (Chris) Butler of Charlottesville, VA; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Joseph D. Brunory, 75, of Bradenton, FL, died February 19, 2015.

Born in Chicago, IL he moved to Bradenton in 1999 from Lombard, IL. His career at NICOR spanned 4 decades. A Veteran of the US Army, he was past president of the 2nd Bayshore Condo Association, a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, an athletic coach for football and hockey and attended Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church.

Survived by wife of 53 years Janet; their 5 sons: Sean (Fiancée Olya) of Downers Grove, IL, Joey of Bradenton and his son Riley of Chicago, Kevin and his 3 children, Abigail, Christopher and Isabella of Fishers, IN, Patrick (Monica) and their 3 children, John, Rachel, Vincent of Lemont, IL, and Tony of Rockford, IL; 3 daughters: Michelle and her children Stormy Dawn, Cheyenne, Jacob and Haley of Las Vegas, NV, Peggy (Doug) and her 2 children Kathleen and Rebecca of Marengo, IL, and Alyce (Danny) of Mesa, AZ, and her 3 children, Christine, Cole, and Michael.

Survived by 5 great grandchildren Zoe, Destiny, Ashlie, Hayven, and Miko. Survived by his sister, Judyann (Paul) Novak of Melrose Park, IL.

Memorial Service will be 10:00AM, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church. Memorial Services will be held in Illinois at a later date. Michael D. Provost, 47 of Bradenton passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015.

He was born in North Adams, MA. He is survived by his mother, Maryann of Parrish, Brother, Robert G. Provost of SC. and his Fiancée, Lisa Casper.

Preceded in death by his Father, Robert B. Provost. Michael owned and operated Plantation Lawn Maintenance and Landscaping. Fabrication and Welding restoring vehicles and trailers was his passion. He left behind many he loved and who loved him.

Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 1:00PM at Brown and Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th St. Chapel, 5624 26th St. W., Bradenton, FL 34207. Obie Columbus Hill, 59, Jacksonville, formerly of Bradenton, passed away February 12, 2015.
