Arthur James Cooper, 90, Bradenton, passed March 10, 2015.

He was born June 6, 1924 in New York, NY to the late John & Louisa Cooper.

Arthur served with the U.S. Navy during WWII where he received numerous awards and citations for his service.

He was retired from PanAm Airlines where he worked as an airline mechanic for over 40years. While living in Miami he attended and was active in the Kendall Presbyterian and formerly Trinity Presbyterian churches.

In 2007 he moved to Bradenton, was a member of First Baptist Church and attended West Bradenton Baptist Church of Bradenton.

Arthur was predeceased by his loving wife of 63 years Jean B. Cooper in 2010, and is survived by his four sons; James (Paula) Cooper of Sarasota, Richard (Marlene) Cooper of Jackson, MS, David (Maria) Cooper of Melbourne, FL, Douglas (Janice) Cooper of Mansfield, TX, two daughters; Susan (Dr. Joseph) Soler of Bradenton, Nancy (Troy) Toman of Bradenton, two sisters; Mary Tegone of Sayville, L.I., NY, Gladys Hulse of Amelia, OH, 13 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Monday, March 16, 2015 at Shannon Funeral Home Westview Chapel, 5610 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, with services to follow at 11 A.M. Interment with military honors will follow at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota, Fl.

Donald R. Davis, Sr., 88, Bradenton, died March 10, 2015.

Born in Old Hickory, TN he moved to Bradenton in 1956 from Chattanooga, TN. A Veteran of the US Army during World War II, he was a charter member and Deacon of Northwest Baptist Church.

Survived by wife of 65 1/2 years, Dorothy of Bradenton, FL; son, Donald R., Jr. (Jeanne) of Parrish, FL; daughter, Dary Lynn (Johnny) Cobb of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Jack Howard Davis of Knoxville, TN; sister, Carolyn Gwinn of Hermitage, TN; grandchildren, Ashley Ouellette and Katie Davis; 12 great grandchildren.

Michael B. Greene, 57 of Bradenton, Florida lost his courageous battle with Leukemia, Tuesday, March 10, 2015.

Mike served 29 years with Manatee County making many lifelong friends.

He is survived by 1 daughter, Marina Greene; 1 granddaughter, the love of his life, Peyten Makenzie; 2 sisters, Gerry (Neal) Rossa of Franklin, NC and Jeannette (Byron) Deas of Bryson City, NC; 2 brothers, Roger (Virginia) Greene of Lorida, FL and Dan (Marilyn) Greene of Feeding Hills, MA and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. We pray he is riding his bike in the winds we feel.

Adam Scot Lee, 21, passed away Friday, March 6, 2015.

Adam was born and raised in Bradenton where he attended Bradenton Christian School and played basketball and football. He was currently residing in Charleston, WV where he graduated from Job Corp with medical certificates and was working towards his career in the medical field with plans to start nursing school in June.

He had aspirations to do this because of his love for helping others. He was working at Eastbrook Nursing Facility where he will be greatly missed by all of his residents and coworkers.

He is survived by his mother, Amy Lee; brothers, Alex Bounds and Koby Ervin; grandmother, Paula Lee; grandfather, Lewis Goins; aunt, Jessika Goins; nephew, Amari and many aunts, uncles, cousins.

Adam loved basketball, the beach, music, God and family. He was kind, loving and had an amazing faith. Adam had an amazing heart and compassion for helping those in need. He touched many lives and hearts and he will be forever loved and missed by all. John 15:12 “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you…”

George J. Hanna, 77, Bradenton, died March 9, 2015.

Born in Massachusetts he moved to Bradenton in 2001 from Wilmington, MA and Salem, NH.

A Veteran of the US Army he was an avid Red Sox fan, photographer, and he coached basketball.

Survived by his wife of 52 years, Lorraine of Bradenton, FL; son, George J., III (Sheila) of Clearwater, FL; daughters, Susan of St. Petersburg, FL and Linda Hanna (Joe) Ficociello of Littleton, MA; sister, Charlene Kane of Litchfield, NH and 5 granddaughters.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she moved to Bradenton in 1978 from Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and was a Presbyterian.

William E. Null, 88, Sun City Center, died March 5, 2015.

Born in Shelbyville, Michigan he moved to Sun City Center in 1982 from Battle Creek, Michigan and he attended the Church at Bradenton. A

Veteran of the US Army during World War II, he was the Eastern Regional Customer Service Manager for Clark Equipment and he was a life member of the VFW, American Legion and Habitat for Humanity.

Predeceased by parents, James; Anna (Crawford) Null; step-son, Mike Gue; sister, Nita Schultz; survived by wife of 30 years, Barbara of Sun City Center, FL; son, David of MI; step-daughters, Carleen Weise of Bradenton, FL, and Luanne (Vincent) DeCarbo of Apollo Beach, FL; daughter, Judy Frost of MI; brother, Dale of Shelbyville, MI; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren.

Laura Karrin Hall, 21, Manatee County, passed away March 5, 2015.

She was born on February 28, 1994 in Bradenton to Kevin James and Frankie (Tupin) Hall. She was a member of the Class of 2012 of the Manatee School of the Arts, and worked in the family restaurant business.

She was predeceased by her father and is survived by her parents Frankie & Paul Amato of Bradenton. most beloved 2nd mother, Marlene (Frank) Bielawski of Palmetto, brothers;, Kevin (Emily) Hall of Sarasota, twin brother Thomas (Megan) Hall, Paolo Amato, Christopher (Tiffany) Amato, of Bradenton, sisters; Cassie and Carina Amato of Bradenton, grandmothers; Karin Tupin of Bradenton, Edith Hall of NY, godparents, Wayne and Terri Ford and Kathy Ford, Aunts; Kathe (Mikey) Fannon, Reggie (Jerry) Haney, Cindy Grimes of Bradenton, Carolyn Shults of NY, nephew Donovan Ballard, nieces, Leiyla Amato, Devon and Deja Burke of Bradenton, very special cousins she loved them all. Daniel Lewis Shilts, 62, of Bradenton, passed away March 3, 2015 at Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton.

Daniel was born on January 11, 1953 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Fred and Ruth (Bigelow) Shilts. He moved to Bradenton in November of 2011 coming from Newark, Ohio where he worked as an Estate Planner. He was also a member of the Christian Apostolic Church in Newark where he was a Board member.

Locally he was a member of the Life Covenant Sanctuary in Bradenton where he served as a Greeter and Usher.

Daniel was predeceased by his father, Fred and a brother, Jeff. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Luetta Jacks Shilts of Bradenton, three caring sons; Brandon Shilts and his wife Amanda of Newark, OH, Quinton Shilts and his wife Kara of Bradenton, Asheton Shilts of Bradenton, mother and step-father; Ruth and Phillip Zoller of Florence, OR, four brothers; Lonnie Shilts and his wife Linda of Chetek, WI, Arthur Shilts and his wife Rachel of Liberty, MO, Nathan Shilts and his wife Kim of Dyersburg, TN, John Shilts and his wife Tanya of Ladysmith, WI. Three sisters; Karlene Shellhammer and her husband Dan of Florence, OR, Cathy Schofeld and her husband Vern of Cornell, WI, Connie Bigelow and her husband Jeff of Shoreline, WA, four grandchildren; Carrisa and Emalyne Shilts of Newark, OH, Jadyn and Jaxson Shilts of Bradenton, and many extended family members and friends.

The family received friends from 5-6 P.M. on Monday, March 9, 2015 at the Life Covenant Sanctuary, 5428 39th Street East, Bradenton with a Celebration of Daniel’s life that followed at 6:00 P.M.
