County High Schools to Send Several Top Football Recruits to Collegiate Teams

MANATEE--Manatee County was well represented on College Signing Day this week as several local high school football players made their college football choices official.

Southeast High School has three players headed to Western Kentucky University. Receivers Boe Brand, Terran Williams and quarterback Dyron Speight all signed letters of intent with the Hilltoppers. Willie Taggart, who played his high school football for Manatee High is the WKU football coach and has recruited heavily in the area since taking over the football program last year. Manatee Hurricanes standout receiver Quenton Bundrage has chosen Iowa State to continue his football career. Palmetto’s Chris Calloway is going to Ball State while Marquis Green will play at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga.

Braden River’s Dillon Romine signed with the University of New Mexico. Out-of-Door Academy’s Chris Ragone will go to Trinity College and Jake Siciliano to Wesleyan University.

Bradenton Christian School’s outstanding kicker Austin Dumas signed his letter of intent to Marshall University. Dumas was named to the All-Area First Team and selected to participate in the Manatee All Stars PAL Bowl where he kicked the 49 yard game winner.
