Manatee County Thanksgiving Closures and Service Changes

BRADENTON — Manatee County Government offices will be closed Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, 2024, for Thanksgiving. Garbage, yard waste, and recycling in unincorporated areas are postponed until one day on Thanksgiving Day. The regular schedule resumes Monday, December 2.

The Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller for Manatee County is also closed on Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. They will reopen on Monday, December 2, at 8:30 a.m. 

Customers can access services online on our website at www.ManateeClerk.com or through our new mobile app, now available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) fixed route and Handy Bus services will not be available on Thanksgiving Day, but those services will resume on Friday, November 29.

All Manatee Library locations will be close at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27. Branches will remain closed Thursday, November 28, and Friday, November 29. All locations will reopen at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 30.

Manatee County parks and natural preserves will be open to the public. The Manatee Public Beach on Anna Maria Island and portions of Coquina Beach are also open. Other Manatee County Beaches will open as conditions permit.

The G.T. Bray Recreation Center will close at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, and will remain closed Thursday and Friday. The facilities will reopen with normal hours Saturday, November 30. Aquatic facilities at Bray and Lincoln Parks will be closed Thanksgiving Day. The Manatee County Golf Course and Buffalo Creek Golf Courses will close early on Thursday but will be open normal hours Friday, November 29.
