Doris Ringie Kellogg, also known as Baba, died peacefully at home on Sept. 28, 2025 at age 87. Surrounded by those she loved the most, she gave her family the gift of a beautiful weekend filled with wonderful memories. She spent her last days as she had in her life- on her terms, ever the incredibly strong woman. With the baseball game on in the background, she looked out peacefully on the sky and lake, enjoying her final sunset. Baba moved to Bradenton, Florida 5 years ago to bear with family, hoping to create new memories in Heaven's Waiting Room, as she called it. Instead, there were health battles that plagued her during these years. She never gave in to the struggles. Instead, telling herself to "suck it up buttercup", she bravely fought through each battle until her body could no longer go on. Her spirit & sense of humor never left her- she was able to laugh and smile right up until the end.

Doris was actively involved in her family's activities, from leading a Camp Fire group for years, sewing clothing and costumes for Halloween, proms & weddings, to attending her grandchildren's sporting events. Doris loved her jobs in men's & women's fashion- looking smart & fashionable was important to Doris. She was known for her footwear collection consisting of shoes in every color and height to match every outfit as well as coordinating jewelry. During a house fire, she asked the fireman to save her shoes and clothes! Doris also loved to travel, including climbing a mountain in Greece on the back of a donkey & having rum and a cigar in Cuba. Doris was a Red Sox fan, and followed the Patriots until Tom Brady went to Tampa. Doris was a believer and supporter of St. Jude Children's Hospital.

The daughter of Richard and Doris Eichelser Ringie, Doris was born and raised in Pittsfield, MA. and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. Doris leaves behind her childhood sweetheart Dominick Kellogg, to whom she was married for 67 years. Her son Michael died in 2012. Daughters include Katie (Tiny) Currier and Dawn Kellogg. She leaves her brother William Ringie and sister-in-law & best friend Erma Ringie. Doris was predeceased by two sisters Ann Ringie Brennan & Mary Ringie Palmer. Grandchildren include Patrick (Heather) Currier, Kevin (Ashley) Currier, Julian Bloom, & Michaella Bloom. She also leaves nieces and nephews, with whom she maintained close relationships with.

At the request of Doris & her family, there will be no services. She will live on in our hearts and memories.
