Duke Releases Sequel to 2018 Best Seller

Posted
BRADENTON – Author and longtime Bradenton resident Beth Duke wowed fiction fans with her 2018 best seller It All Comes Back to You. Duke recently released the long-awaited sequel Dark Enough to See the Stars.

When asked what inspired her to revisit the story, Duke said it was her readers, as well as her own fondness for the characters.

"The truth is, I love and missed the characters of It All Comes Back to You–and I’ve met with book clubs to discuss the book from Maine to Hawaii to Quebec, almost all of whom asked when a sequel might be written."

While Duke has spent much of her life in Bradenton, where some of her family still remains, she currently resides in her native state of Alabama and says her hometown was a major inspiration for both works.

"The original book is a love letter to my hometown, and so is the sequel," Duke told TBT. "I am so grateful to introduce a side of Anniston, Alabama most haven’t seen. The original book has been translated into Croatian, and it’s pretty thrilling to me to offer Southern Fiction to readers in Split, Zagreb and Dubrovnik. That’s been a lovely part of this journey, and I hope my publisher there will add the sequel to their titles."

Dark Enough to See the Stars is available in hardcover, paperback, and Kindle at Amazon.com.
