Final Performance of White Christmas Tonight at Manatee Players

BRADENTON – It's Christmas weekend, but if you're still not in the spirit, don't be a scrooge. There's still a chance to see Irving Berlin's classic holiday musical White Christmas by Manatee Players. The last remaining show is tonight at 8 p.m.

Tickets are $25 including facility fee for adults and $11 including facility fee for students. Tickets may be reserved by calling 748-5875 from 9-5 and one hour before curtain. They can also be purchased on the Manatee Players’ website: www.manateeplayers.com. All performances are at 102 Old Main Street in downtown Bradenton.
 
Based on the beloved, timeless film, this heartwarming musical adaptation features seventeen Irving Berlin songs and a book by David Ives and Paul Blake. Veterans Bob Wallace and Phil Davis have a successful song-and-dance act after World War II. With romance in mind, the two follow a duo of beautiful singing sisters en route to their Christmas show at a Vermont lodge, which just happens to be owned by Bob and Phil's former army commander. The dazzling score features well known standards including ÔBlue Skies’, ÔI Love A Piano’, ÔHow Deep Is the Ocean’ and the perennial favorite, ÔWhite Christmas’. The weather report at the Manatee Players guarantees Ôsnow’ nightly!
 
The roles of ÔBob Wallace’ and ÔPhil Davis’ are being played by Greg Wiegers and Michael DeMocko with the roles of ÔBetty Haynes’ and ÔJudy Haynes’ being played by Jessica Anne Morrow and Geena Ravella.  Philip Croome plays ÔGeneral Waverly’, Brittney Klepper plays ÔMartha Watson’ and newcomer Haley Rosenthal plays ÔSusan Waverly.  Other members of the talented cast include John Andruzzi, Mitcheal Pearl, Elora Czaia, Corinne Woodland, Daniele Quinn-Grutzner, Katie Zanders, Becki Mallett, Beth McKinzie, Brian Strubbe, Brandon Jamora, Bryan Boytek, Juan Martinez, Joseph Rebella, Samantha Grutzner, Victoria Najmy, Jean Boothby, Teri Duncan, David Taylor, Lindsey Nickel-de la O, Tim Parker and Jillian Smith.
