BRADENTON – Becks Bistro, a popular downtown eatery frequented by the many local government and legal workers in the nearby area was recently purchased by Melissa Hays, the former manager of the establishment, and her sister Alice "Rene" Button.

The new owners are a local family who have a long history of managing successful area restaurants, and they already have the new Bistro on 12th running smoothly.. The transition has been seamless. In fact, the purchase deal was signed on February 29 and the new "Bistro On 12th" sign was up before it got dark that evening.

"The primary goal was simply to continue providing excellent service to our customers without any interruption or inconvenience for them," said Hays. "We greatly value our customers and they remain our primary focus as we get input from them to improve our menu and enhance our service hours to accommodate their needs. ”

Several healthy, clean menu options are already running as daily specials, while they say that customer feedback and suggestions are encouraged.

The long-time Bradenton residents are excited to be part of the 12th (Old Main) Street renaissance, which has welcomed several new and reworked ventures over the past several months. Many in the downtown set have known the girls since they were teenagers and they said that the support and encouragement has been overwhelming. To learn more, visit their website.
