Posted

SARASOTA/BRADENTON, FL – With the help of its Ambassadors – community members who have made a commitment to share the mission of Goodwill with the greater community – Goodwill Manasota announced the launch of its 2016 ”I Support Goodwill“ campaign. The campaign videos and print media feature local Ambassadors as superheroes, wearing Goodwill capes and showcasing their own power to change lives.

Stars include Florida Representative Greg Steube, Cliff Roles, Lisl Liang, Violeta Huesman, Nancy Krohngold, Jaime DiDomenico, Trish McConnell and Jo Rita Stevens, and Youth Ambassadors Ashley McConnell and Faith Holliday.

Goodwill is also inviting members of the public to submit their own stories and reasons why they support Goodwill Manasota in its mission of changing lives through the power of work. The grassroots campaign will take place on social media and the organization’s website.

”We are so excited that our Goodwill Ambassadors – our supporters – came up with this year’s campaign. The ÔI Support Goodwill’ campaign uses peer recommendations to showcase their power – the Ôpower’ to change lives. When you see your friends, neighbors and colleagues engage with a nonprofit organization, and speak on its behalf to help raise awareness, that is extremely powerful,“ said Veronica Brandon Miller, vice president of Goodwill Manasota’s Foundation. ”We appreciated our Ambassadors because they understand our mission and help us reach others in the community. Their belief in and passion for Goodwill has helped us advance our mission and truly change lives.“

To participate in Goodwill’s campaign, and for a chance to have your photos featured on Goodwill’s website and social media accounts, submit photos and stories to the Goodwill Manasota Facebook page (www.facebook.com/GoodwillManasota) or send via email to foundation@gimi.org.
