Gregory James Frana, age 70, entered eternal rest on June 20, 2025, in Bradenton, Florida, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Greg was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, great-uncle, and faithful servant of the Church.

Greg was the beloved son of the late Otto and Jane Frana and the dear brother of the late Otto Frana Jr. and Marguerite "Marge" (Eugene) Kryczka. A man of deep Catholic faith, Greg lived his life in service to God and others. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradenton, where he served faithfully as a sacristan and adult altar server. Greg was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, embodying the values of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism.

He was the loving father of Stacy (Peter) Bohacek, Gail (Brian) Maszka, and Zachary Frana. Greg was a proud and devoted grandfather to Kalib Maszka, Jake Bohacek, and Braydon Maszka, who will forever carry the memory of their grandfather's love, guidance, and humor in their hearts. He was a cherished uncle to Kathy (Brian) Anderson, Eugene Jr. Kryczka, Benjamin (Jaime) Kryczka, and Mary (Tim) Farmer. A beloved great-uncle to Jacob and Nicholas Anderson, Alexander, Steven, Ryan Kryczka, and Daniel Farmer.

Greg's life was marked by humble service, steadfast devotion, and quiet generosity. After many years of dedicated work, he retired as Lead Ford Parts Specialist, a role that reflected his diligence and reliability. In his retirement, he continued to give of himself as President of The Grove Homeowners Association, where his leadership and neighborly care were deeply appreciated.
Greg found joy in simple pleasures-boating, baseball, and time with family. Yet above all, his faith was his foundation. He approached life with a servant's heart, and his example of integrity, kindness, and unwavering belief in Christ left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

He will be dearly missed but remembered with love and gratitude. We entrust Greg to the merciful hands of our Lord, confident in the promise of the Resurrection.

Catholic Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2704 33rd Avenue West, Bradenton, Florida.

Immediately following Mass, Greg's ashes will be spread, and a luncheon reception will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

A memorial chair volleyball game will be held in Greg's honor at The Grove Clubhouse, 4801 9th Street East, Bradenton, Florida, following the luncheon.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Brown & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory 26th Street Chapel, 5624 26th Street West, Bradenton, Florida, is in charge of arrangements.
